2019 Summer: EHS Intern

A. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Attend Daily Management, function as EHS representative on the factory floor (GEMBA)
2. Perform scheduled area EHS audits
3. Prepare and deliver EHS communication materials (Briefings, Alerts, Back-2-Basics)
4. Produce Safety videos
5. Validate Site Chemical Inventory and Safety Data Sheet
6. Participate in Safety Observation Report investigation and closure
Potential EHS Projects
Environmental Permit Compliance database (air emission database, drinking water system, sanitary water system)
Validate Industrial Hygiene chemical exposure baseline
Hazardous Waste profiles
Hearing Conservation noise monitoring baseline
Job Hazard Analysis Kaizens (master and deploy internal Fortive 4E Kaizen tool)
B. Education Required:
1. Engineering related major, Chemical or Environmental Engineering preferred
C. Experience Required:
1. Understanding of basic engineering concepts
2. Microsoft Office experience
3. Communication skills
D. Physical Requirements:
1. Be able to lift at least 25 pounds
2. Be able to be on your feet all day

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
