Description:
Essential Functions
? Performs analysis of energetic materials operations, related physical facilities, and safety, fire and health hazards they present.
? Interprets requirements of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, DOT, DTSC, BATF, ATFE, DoD etc. for management and employees.
? Establishes and implements environment, health, safety and industrial/occupational hygiene compliance programs, promoting state-of-the-art safe and healthful work practices for the protection of personnel, physical assets, and production operations.
? Examines operations to recognize and evaluate occupational exposure to chemical and physical agents.
? Recommends and coordinates engineering and administrative controls to reduce hazards/risk and limit occupational exposure.
? Interfaces with personnel regarding Process Safety Management (PSM) hazard evaluations and control methods.
? Perform other related duties as assigned.
Provides technical guidance and regulatory consulting to manufacturing and related support personnel within the site.
? Reviews operation processes and equipment designs to assess potential safety and health hazards to minimize employee injury and property destruction. ? Investigates safety (EHS) related events.
? Actively participates in the development, implementation and maintenance of internal EHS procedures.
? Conducts formal EHS audits of work areas for the purpose of discovering and correcting unsafe conditions or unsafe work practices.
? Performs compliance and/or liability audits of other Pacific Scientific facilities as part of Business level teams. Includes Job Hazard and PPE assessments and analysis.
? Administers a variety of programs to ensure compliance. These programs include ESD, Ladder Management, Cranes and Hoists, Chemical Storage, Lockout Tag Out, and similar programs.
? Acts as a visible champion for safety within the site by conducting regular safety observations, strengthening relationships with employees, and delivering the appropriate and timely Hazard Communications.
? Conducts Safety Training as required
Qualifications:
Basic qualifications:
Engineer degree required in Safety, Industrial or related field. Experience
Required: 0-3 years experience minimum as an environmental engineer, safety engineer or industrial/occupational hygienist.
Environmental experience a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
