EHS Director

Description :   The Director of Environmental Health and Safety is responsible for establishing and leading world class safety management systems and methods for PACSCI EMC Hollister Operations.    This position will play a key role in driving a culture of excellence in health and safety. The successfully EHS leader will develop, maintain, and improve effective programs to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and company standards. This position requires a strong Health and Safety skill set and will work closely with the leadership team and EHS team to implement and integrate site Environment Health and Safety (EHS) programs as follows:    Health and Safety: Direct all required programs per 29CFR1910 or Cal OSHA equivalent, including an understanding of Process Safety Management and explosives safety per DoD 4145.26m.   Regulatory Interface: Primary contact for site regulatory agencies; oversees maintenance of required regulatory and program reports, permits and related documents; provides technical expertise to resolve complex technical and regulatory issues.   Essential Functions   o Set Vision and Strategy for a health and safety focused culture within the business o Partner with leadership team to ensure highest standards of health and safety throughout the company o Direct EHS team and influence business leaders in driving excellence in core EHS metrics o Drive improvements and establish best practices through the use of lean tools and processes o Own responsibility to improve accident/injury rates o Lead organization to take preventative actions to consistently maintain superior health and safety standards o Drive strict adherence to highest standards of ethics and integrity in compliance with all local and federal laws and requirements o Procure and manage effective 3rd party relationships to support company EHS vision an strategy as appropriate o Improve and maintain facilities through elimination and / or mitigation of all existing or potential safety hazards. o Ensure appropriate rigor and standards are applied in all safety and accident investigations. o Establish corrective action measures and processes to enable culture of accountability and drive for excellence. o Implement health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, federal OSHA and provincial rules and regulations. o Oversee appropriate training and education on various Health and Safety policies and programs, including, but not limited to process safety management practices, fire prevention, personal protective equipment, regulations and standards, incident investigation. o Provide updates on the progress towards targets, Health and Safety action plans, and any agency, regulatory inspections or violations.   Qualifications :   Basic qualifications:   o Bachelor's degree in in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, Safety Engineering OR a BS in environmental management, physical sciences, safety management, industrial hygiene, occupational safety or other appropriate technical field. o Minimum ten years of experience implementing EHS programs in a manufacturing/R&D environment. o U.S citizenship o Effective oral and written communication skills. o Able to obtain "L" level DOE or DoD Secret Security Clearance. o Understanding of OSHA Process Safety Management, DoD Contractor Safety for Ammunition and Explosives (DoD 4145.26-M), DoD Ammunition and Explosives safety Standards (DoD 6055.9-STD), BATFE Explosives regulations, DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation regulations, DoD / DOE Security policies and procedures o Ability to effectively present complex topics in a concise manner. o Ability to influence and lead peers, subordinates and superiors    Preferred qualifications   o Master's Degree in one of the above mentioned fields o Explosives manufacturing or ordnance assembly experience o Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) o Diverse background working in different in different industries o Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with orientation on results. o Ability to lead and sustain culture change o Talent for quickly analyzing complicated issues, identify core issues and develop action plans to drive quick and effective results o Ability to work in a high intensity and ever changing working environment PAC001274

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
